Clouds study

I have done this first study of clouds using canvas board. Ever since my pregnancy I have kept away from turpentine. Now my daughter is four and is away for loger period of time. The medium I used for this painting is 1 part linseed oil, 1 part turpentine and 1 part Damar varnish, I call it solution II. Both my new slutions have same consistancy and only time will decide which I like better. Also using different support gives so much different results, obviously canvas is more absorbing and looks less 'liquidy' even when using same amount of medium.

Snowscape

Just when I was thinking that the snow is all gone and I can see the green lawn in my backyard, it has showed again here today. I am not much of a snow lover,though I love watching snow when it has just started falling from a big bay window we have here. That is my favourite place to sit. Snow is beautiful but not practical, think of all those homeless people out there and you'll agree. Snow and snowscape. Thanks.
