Apples-3

Composition rules say that objects should be odd in numbers rather than even. This painting is even divided in almost two equal parts. The values of background and that of object are almost same. But I feel this painting still works. I like it.

Red

One great thing about small paintings is that one can experiment, can afford to make mistakes. Tomorrow one can make another or just repaint it. Thanks,

Too Ripe

This is another painting of the same bananas. I am preparing more fruits and vegetable Still-lifes for my up-coming event. Back in action and enjoying it. Since my last small painting of bananas is sold these are the latest.

One and a half

I don't have a set-up corner to call my studio yet and hence though I am dying to paint it is difficult. But it is great to be back with this one. Thanks.

Work in progress

I am doing this 20x24 oil on canvas. A woman working in a paddy field. Any cultivation is a time bound process. Women( and men) work on it rain or shine. Everytime we eat good food it is time to remember how much effort has gone in making it and how many people were involved in getting it to our plates. Thanks.
